Otrante Rattan Cane Drum Pendant Light

Two stacked drums: a wide cylinder of rattan cane webbing, banded top and bottom, with a smaller drum set just below. The open six-sided weave of the Otrante cane pendant light scatters light in a fine dotted pattern.

Lit, it projects a lattice of tiny points across the walls while the lower drum focuses a clear beam downward: two kinds of light in one piece. The cane is the same open weave used on classic bentwood chair backs, and because it is a natural fiber, its tone varies slightly from one pendant to the next.

Three diameters from 40 to 60 cm (15.7 to 23.6 in) cover a round table, a dining table or a kitchen island. Choose brown bands to stay close to the rattan tone, or black bands to sharpen the geometry against the pale fiber.
