Positano Double Drum Fabric Pendant Light

A large cylinder of beige canvas, with a narrower second cylinder dropping down at its center: this double drum pendant light catches the light twice, first through the outer fabric, then through the inner drum that sends it downward.

Lit, it gives broad, diffused light from the large cylinder, paired with a more focused beam beneath the small one. Nothing glares, and the bulb never shows from any angle. Three diameters: 40 cm (15.7 in) for a reading corner, console or end of a counter, 50 cm (19.7 in) over a round table, and 60 cm (23.6 in) for a full dining table, where its 50 cm (19.7 in) height gives it real presence.

The beige canvas keeps its visible weave and slubs, which show as soon as light passes through. It pairs with raw wood, travertine, limewashed walls and natural textiles in contemporary, country-chic or Japandi interiors, and the double construction avoids the flat look of a classic drum.
