Métaponte Marble Pebble Pendant Light

A pebble of polished marble topped with a polished metal ball that forms the only link to the cord, with no visible frame and no ring: the Métaponte pebble pendant light is simply two volumes set one on the other, a stone and a mirror.

When lit, the finest veins glow through and the pebble turns amber while the ball reflects the light. Most of the light falls from below as a warm halo on the table, so it serves as mood lighting. The marble is pale and veined, never the same twice.

One size, 15 cm (5.9 in) across: a wide, flat volume that hangs low over a coffee table, the end of a counter or a nightstand, takes little height under low ceilings, and shines as a trio along a kitchen island.
