Sifnos Rattan Globe Pendant Light

Fine rattan vines, wound and crossed with no repeating pattern, tangle into an almost perfect sphere: on the Sifnos rattan globe pendant light, each fiber follows its own path, creating a dense, random mesh reminiscent of a bird's nest or a ball of vines.

When the bulb is on, light passes through the irregular mesh and projects fine, uneven shadows on nearby walls, like interlaced branches. The compact round form contrasts with its untamed surface, as interesting lit as it is switched off.

At 25 cm (9.8 in) across and 25 cm (9.8 in) tall, it holds its own as a sculptural piece, alone above a bed or a nightstand.
